We are experienced Nursing Home Operators since 2004; have had Good CQC inspection reports for all our established 4 nursing homes in Sussex and well as Investors in People Gold Award in all our homes. We will be completing Ashton Meadows our 5th 68 bedded nursing home in Kingston in April 2024. This new home will have an acute, post-operative care wing and also a dementia nursing wing located less than a 100 yards from Kingston hospital.
Gaj Ragunathan Operations Director, was born in Kingston Hospital, went to Tiffin's Grammar School. After 15 years working in IT project management, focussed purely on the nursing homes from 2004 and applied Project Management, Governance and Quality Assurance principles to staff development within the group.
Kathy Ragunathan, LLB and Chartered Accountant, manages the finance, provider audits, safeguarding lead and liaison with families, councils and multi-disciplinary teams.
We have four General Managers across the group and two unit managers who have worked under one of the senior managers over 3 years, and will be deployed to Ashton Meadows as a deputy manager. We will be taking unit managers, deputy managers, nurses and team leaders from within our Group to our new home in Kingston.
As providers, my wife and I are very hands on and believe in a philosophy of promoting from within. Thus, we have retained over 360 staff within our group and have long serving, experienced staff (carers, nurses, chefs) and nurse management team. We have a nursing training centre in South India and with our UKBA Premier license we are able to get some of the best experienced nurses from India and the Philippines, subsequently train them from OSCE training to obtain NMC qualified nurses within 3 months of working in the UK at our nursing homes.

Ashton House team escorted our father to his wife, of nearly 70 years, funeral. It was a very sad day, but the team were extremely sensitive and discrete and looked after dad with love and care. We thank everyone there, from the reception to all the carers and staff who look after us when we visit, and for getting dad to the funeral without any fuss. Well done Ashton House.
